Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Schmooze, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Description of Service
Schmooze is a networking outreach platform that helps users search for professionals, generate personalized email content using AI, and send outreach emails from their own Gmail account. Schmooze is designed for genuine, one-to-one professional networking — not bulk marketing or spam.
Accounts
You must sign in with a Google account to use Schmooze. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old to use Schmooze.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Schmooze only for lawful, professional networking purposes. You may not:
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited emails, or automated mass outreach
- Use the service to harass, threaten, or send abusive content to any person
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in emails sent through Schmooze
- Use the service in violation of any applicable law, including anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM or GDPR
- Attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or private information
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation of the service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Subscriptions and Billing
Schmooze offers paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page or the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Free trial terms, if offered, are subject to the conditions stated at the time of signup.
AI-Generated Content
Schmooze uses AI to generate personalized email content based on your templates and recipient data. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all email content before sending. Schmooze does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content and is not liable for any consequences of emails you choose to send.
Gmail and Third-Party Services
Schmooze integrates with Google's Gmail API to send emails on your behalf. Your use of Gmail through Schmooze is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. Schmooze is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
Intellectual Property
Schmooze and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Schmooze and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your email templates and content remain yours.
Limitation of Liability
Schmooze is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to any consequences of emails sent through the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may stop using Schmooze at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that could harm other users or third parties. Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the application or by email. Continued use of Schmooze after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
